The Challenge
The old site was four pages on a Weebly template. That's it. Prayer times were buried in a services page with no seasonal display. Sunday School — the center's most active program — had a one-liner. The FAQ answered "What is Islam?" but gave no practical guidance to someone walking in for the first time. Donations ran through a single PayPal link and a Venmo handle. No events. No announcements. No way for the team to update anything without fiddling with Weebly's editor. ICM says "Everyone is welcome" — but the website wasn't doing the work to back that up.
Our Solution
We designed around the people who actually use the site: the worshipper who needs Fajr times before sunrise, the parent deciding between Sunday School age groups, the curious neighbor who has never been inside a mosque. Each one got a clear path. Prayer times went front and center with built-in seasonal shifts for all five prayers and Jumu'ah. Sunday School and Hifz got real program pages. The FAQ was rewritten for genuine first-time questions — what to wear, what to expect, how to visit. Donations were upgraded from a Venmo handle to a proper flow with Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, and check. And the team got a CMS they can actually use.
